Description

Flynut Corkscrew with nickel-plated steel propeller known as the “Housewife” left the Establishments Rebattet-Baroche wholesaler, initials deposited in 1909. On the 1930 catalogue, could find it under reference 14190 “A propeller nickelled cast iron higher R.B.T fine poli, the part 6,90 in a box”. At the time it was less expensive than very popular Pérille. The wings of these corkscrews could have different forms (cf. illustration). Contrary to the corkscrews of Pérille the propeller is free on the threaded rod.

Specialized in the domestic tools, objects and the articles of hardware, Rebattet included and developed at the beginning of the XXe oxy-acetylenic century the production of the range of blowtorches and lamps with acetylene created by P.Buret. Baroche brothers, his successor at the end of the Twenties, continued to propose with its catalogue some models of acetylene torches of which logo “P.B.” had been preserved. The house Rebattet A seems it disappeared before the second world war (Extracted the site “the tunnel”).
