Description

This corkscrew called “Lund lever” was patented by English William Lund and William Hipkins on April 2, 1855 under the n° 756. It was produced in great number in England throughout the 19th century. Several types exist, but always on the same principle, a made up grip to some extent of an arm support and a lever connected by two riveted triangular plates and for the other part of an independent corkscrew being able to be useful without the grip. It should be known that the value is larger for the corkscrews which preserved their completion bronzes origin. The triangular turntable is decorated with “an unicorn and a lion supporting a coat of arms ”.
