Description

This german corkscrew is entirely made out of nickel-plated steel. Monopol 117 was patented per G. Usbeck de Steinbach-Hallenberg on December 23, 1909. It takes again the system of Edouard. Becker for the cage made up of the two mobile reinforcements. The sliding ring comes to close the cage during the use. To give off the stopper, the ring is raised thus releasing the cage which opens in two parts facilitating the extraction of the cork. The higher part of the corkscrew includes/understands the handle and the shaft of only one part, this unit is a prisoner of the cage so that only a rotary movement of the handle is possible. This corkscrew is equipped with a long full worm (half of the stem). A crown of 12 balls is inserted between the top of the cage and the base of the handle. Bought in Austria.
