Description |
English corkscrew with grooved, very beautiful and sharp-edged worm. It is engraved on the grief shaft BERKELEY & Co 1905 on a side and on the other 19. This corkscrew was manufactured for the British armed forces, as the initials in the shape of arrow indicate it. The number in general indicates the year of manufacture and one still finds this kind of corkscrew in the messes of the officers. The handle drink some very hard is in the shape of barrel with each side a line of 7 scratches. The stem with square section crosses the handle to be folded back on the top. This part belonged to the collection Marc Poncelet (France). |
