Description

Italian corkscrew shaped bottle of Chianti. In 1891, Heinrich Ehrhart patented a locking collar. A locking collar that had an elongated hole on the underside and a "nose" on the front. The elongated hole allows the handle nose to drop down and lock the handle when it is threaded up to the top of the shank. When the nose comes in contact with the top of the frame, it is pushed up causing the handle to unlock. Continuous turning will then extract the cork.
