Description

This corkscrew represents with other utility objects the solidarity of East german population towards this street's symbol. This symbol of the traffic lights like its during green for pedestrians was developed in 1961 by the psychologist of transport Charles Peglau. It belonged to a concept which made it possible to return the passages surer pedestrians. In spite of a remarkable operation and a great popularity, it was the victim of the new regulations and was replaced gradually by a new symbol. Following multiple protests of the population, some politicians decided the maintenance of the old silhouettes with their hats so much appreciated of the German pedestrians.
