O.C.C.A
Organised Corkscrew Collectors of the Antipodes, It's time for corkscrew
collectors 'Down-Under' to have a corkscrew organization of our own. So
let's get communicating, exchanging ideas, and let's hear your stories on
corkscrews, your best finds or maybe tell us about your favorite corkscrews..
The ICCA
This first meeting of the International Correspondence of Corkscrew Addicts
(ICCA) was held October 1, 1974. It was organized and hosted by Dr. Bernard
Watney and held at the Guinness Brewery, London, England.
The CCCC
The Canadian Corkscrew Collectors Club was founded in the Spring of 1981
when a group of corkscrew collectors in Canada answered an advertisement
from Dave Dakers in the Opimium Society's magazine, Wine Tidings. It called
for all fellow members interested in corkscrew collecting to confess their
habit and get together and form an organization to foster and promote further
their interest in this "unique hobby." From this innocent beginning, the
club has grown and prospered to the present time, with a membership of 300,
encompassing at least 16 countries.
The ABCDE
The idea to get the UK members of the CCCC together for a meeting was first
spawned from a conversation between Frank Ellis and Fletcher Wallis around
Christmas 1991. After very positive responses from Mike Meakin and Peter
Coldicott the first meeting was set up in a public area in the Royal Festival
Hall in London since it was central for us all, was fairly easy to get to
and food was available.

to being by the common desire of the members of the Norwegian corkscrew
collectors club (Norsk Korketrekker Klubb) and other Scandinavian corkscrew
collectors who were also members of the ICCA. Membership in the Club is
open to corkscrew collectors living in Scandinavia. The maximum is 15 members,
five from each country of Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
A.I.C.C.
Paolo de Sanctis and Maurizio Fantoni founded the Club in Milano on 17th
of December, 1988. The Club’s aim is to advance and strengthen the fellowship
among its members through education. The Club is non-profit and apolitical
and only accepts amateurs as members, who collect corkscrews and similar
implements. Traders and antique dealers are excluded from membership.
